Computer Club

During the summer of 2009, a group of volunteers raised money through the sale of a Juniper Ridge cookbook, "What's Cookin' at Juniper Ridge" in order to purchase five laptop computers and other furniture and equipment to furnish the Juniper Ridge Computer Lab.  The Lab is operated by and for the benefit of Juniper Ridge Computer Club members.

The Juniper Ridge cookbook is SOLD OUT, with the exception of a handful of books reserved for the publisher's cookbook contest!

The Juniper Ridge Computer Club offers the following benefits:

  • Use of a Lab Computer in the Lab (during Lab hours);
  • Access to the Lab’s high-speed internet via wireless connection on their own computer (anytime in the vicinity of the Lab);
  • Participation in Classes, most at no additional cost;
  • Participation in Special Interest Groups (such as Digital Photography, Mac-Users, Genealogy, Writers, Gaming, etc.);
  • Use of Lab Printer/Copier/Scanner, during Lab hours and subject to a fee for use of consumables;
  • Access to the Club’s supply of CD-R and DVD-R disks, jewel cases, flash drives, etc. at a very reasonable price.

Lab Hours:     

The Lab is available for general usage during the following hours, and there will be classes and special interest group meetings when the Lab is not open for general use.  Please see the Programs Schedule and visit the Classes and Special Interest Groups pages for more information.


May 16 through May 31 and September 16 through September 30:

10:00 a.m. to Noon on Monday through Friday

May 1 through May 15 and October 1 through October 15:

10:00 a.m. to Noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings


Membership:

Computer Club Membership is available for purchase in the Lab during regular Lab Hours.

Annual Membership:  $20 per year for the Primary Member from a household; $10 per year for the Additional Member from a household.  Annual memberships run from the date of purchase to the same date one year later – 365 days!

Monthly Membership:  $10 per month

(Internet access without membership may be purchased through the Club’s HotSpot (online) for shorter-term usage.)
