The 'Cool-Summer' Resort for Active Adults

Groups, Clubs & Committees

Volunteers at Juniper Ridge RV Resort are constantly finding new ways to make life at Juniper Ridge even better. Clubs and Committees have been formed to bring the residents together to make the Resort more beautiful, to encourage computer usage, and to organize special interest activities.

Beautification Committee - A group of industrious Juniper Ridge residents meets regularly to plan and implement improvements to Juniper Ridge RV Resort that make it more beautiful and keep it looking its best. From planting new trees to installing flower gardens and park benches, the Beautification Committee will do anything they can to make our Resort a better place to live and play. Each year, as their primary fundraiser, the Beautification Committee organizes and hosts the Bella Rosa, a fabulous Italian dinner with entertainment. For more information, visit the Beautification Committee page.

Computer Club - For a nominal fee, residents and staff of Juniper Ridge RV Resort may join the Computer Club and take advantage of a well-equipped Computer Lab, access to the Club's internet HotSpot, computer classes, and special-interest group participation. Initial funding for the Lab came from the sale of 'What's Cookin' at Juniper Ridge', a professionally-published and fabulous cookbook featuring recipes from Juniper Ridge's great cooks.

For more information on the Computer Club, including Lab Schedules, Class Schedules, Special Interest Group Meeting Schedules, organizational information, membership information and applications, etc., visit the Computer Club page.

Cardiac Emergency Team - A number of Juniper Ridge residents and staff have been trained and certified to perform CPR and to use the AEDs (automated external defibrillators) located around the resort. While it is important to call 911 first in the case of a medical emergency, members of this team may be called on for quick response to a cardiac arrest emergency. Interested residents may sign up for one of the on-site training courses and, each season, trained team members undergo a refresher course. A list of trained team members is included in the Juniper Ridge Directory along with a map showing AED and emergency phone locations.

Gate Hosts - Throughout the summer months, whenever the gate is open during the day, volunteer Gate Hosts each take a two-hour shift in the guard house. They ensure that authorized visitors to Juniper Ridge are greeted and directed to their destination within the Resort.

Golf Advisory Board - The Golf Advisory Board consists of five to seven volunteers who meet twice a month during the season. It is responsible for monitoring the rules and regulations of the golf course, making recommendations for improvements, organizing the golf leagues, scheduling tournaments, and organizing the Golf Banquet.

Singles Group - The singles at Juniper Ridge formed a casual social group which meets for Happy Hour on the Patio on Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. Any single resident at Juniper Ridge (owner, renter or guest) is invited to participate. Everyone brings and appetizer or snack to share and their own drinks. The Group also plans occasional outings such as going out to dinner, seeing shows, attending concerts, etc., usually going in carpools. Everyone in the Group has a voice and can plan activities, many of which are on Sunday afternoons.
