The 'Cool-Summer' Resort for Active Adults

Winter Holiday Gatherings

Thanksgiving Dinners
Juniper Ridge residents just can't stay away from their JRR family. It may be getting a bit cool in the White Mountains, but Thanksgiving dinner with special friends calls. Of course, there are many great cooks at Juniper Ridge, so a pot luck dinner, augmented by a turkey often donated by the Activities department, makes for good eats.

Christmas Parties

Sometimes you just want a white Christmas, and sometimes Juniper Ridge obliges. The lounge in the Administration building, with its welcoming fireplace, is usually the venue for a Christmas Eve cocktail party - and sometime Santa even visits.

New Year’s Celebrations
In the past few years, New Year's Eve and Day at Juniper Ridge have become very popular, drawing many of our residents up to the White Mountains. A New Year's Eve cocktail party may be held in the Admin building or hosted by one of the full-time residents. Wherever we gather, we know how to welcome the new year. (To start 2010, we were treated to a 'blue moon', which certainly made the partiers a little more celebratory.) Much of the draw, though, is a fabulous Champagne Brunch. Residents gather in the Card Room and are treated to a Mimosa or a Bloody Mary before dining. The brunch itself is a wonderful buffet spread of breakfast casseroles, sweet rolls, salads, a carving station with roast beef and turkey (plus some potatoes and gravy), and some sinful desserts. Of course, for good luck, black-eyed peas must be on the menu. What a way to start the new year!
